Shudder Slipping on acceleration
Hi all
Picking up an issue when driving, as I accelerate the car seems to be jerking or slipping of some sort. However, if I engage the manual gears and accelerate then this doesn't happen. Any ideas? |

When you say Jerking and slipping, do you mean the car will rev up like the car is in neutral? That would indicate a transmission issue. How many miles on the car? Leaking fluid? Scan the car for the trouble codes. If you don't have any scan tools, have a local garage help you out.

all times? or just cold?
Its fairly normal if the car is "cold" (i.e. has sat for like 8+ hours) for the ZF to slip in order to warm up the internals. Its a common topic of discussion.

Have you identified the cause of this issue, as I’m experiencing the same problem? The engine doesn’t rev as it should when in neutral. However, when I transition from manual to automatic after stopping and then accelerate, it seems to slip into second gear. Other gears function correctly.
