What should I fix (or not fix) on my BMW 435XI before selling/trading?
Hey guys, I'm an Engineer, but recently went through some tough time were I was homeless, so tired at the wheel, drinking alot and smoking some things, which resulted in my car taking some damage (It was literally in perfect condition prior to this).
I'm looking to sell or trade-in this car relatively soon (next few months), and I need some help figuring out what to fix (or as the title stated, NOT to fix), as I don't have any mechanics or people in my family knowledgeable about cars. I'll post some pics below, but this is the bulleted list of damage: 1. Passenger side (Right) Fender damage - nSide-swiped a shopping cart or small shed, like the ones they have outside Menards or hardware stores) 2. Driver side (Left) Door damage - I would like to add all the YELLOW had been removed, but I side-swiped one of those yellow parking-posts they have at parking lots. Someone told they could use some type of suction cup to pop it out. 3. Rear-end damage, mostly on the passenger (Right) side - Some dude rear ended me in Springfield, MO, like road-rage. I even saw he was angry in my rear view mirror and put on my e-lights and pulled to side of road but he rammed me. 4. The passenger-side mirror glass is cracked and I think the housing is slightly cracked as-well. Just putting it out there, I doubt there is a dealer on the planet that will take that car as is. You pretty much f'd up every body panel!
Not a body guy, but that will be a $$$ to fix. You need a fender, two doors, bumper, etc. None of that is "repairable". |

I paid 3600 to replace a door and fix a rear quarter panel. Roughly you're looking at 10,000+ to replace both doors, the bumper, the fender and fill in the rear quarter panel and have the panels repainted.
You should have it all fixed. |
