Missing horn fuse?
Hey all,
I've bought used 2016 F30 LCI, and it has some horn issue (no horn at all). As I've read in https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=800104 it could be blown fuse. However when I've opened fuse box behind glovebox it seems I'm missing horn fuse in FEM module (as shown in https://bimmerscan.com/bmw-front-electronic-module-fem/ -> fuse 14) - no fuse at all. I've tried to put 15A fuse there, but new fuse (some cheapo from gas station) seems to be "loose", like there was no electrical contacts there. Did I bought wrong fuse? Do all F30 versions come with horn fuse in FEM module (no. 14)? Is there something I can check first before going to replace both horns? Best regards |

Since it's a '16, it's most likely still under warranty. Go to the dealer and get it checked out

Unfortunately, in Poland, we've got only 2 years of warranty, and my car has 2years 8 months. I still have Service Inclusive, but this does not cover any repairs (only oil changes etc.).

I've verified with original 15A fuse and it is also loose. I've made close up photo (attached) and it seems that there is no metal contact to hold the fuse there. Is it possible that my F30 had no fuse for horn in this place? Is there anything I can still check?

According to https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...nfare-tweeter/ my missing horn fuse 14 was mounted before 2015/06. As I have newer F30, it seems that my horns are connected directly to FEM. I will stop my research here and head now to dealer for horns exchange
