I plan to leave the burble settings the same as stock. I figured that should be ok. Are you recommending that, or turning off burbles completely?
Should* be ok. Up to you to decide if the CTS one is up to the same standards as the stock one

If there's a burble setting between 'stock' and 'off', I'll start with that.

Received mine today and I'm very impressed with the build quality. It's gorgeous!
Unfortunately I won't be installing it until December when my factory warranty expires.

Thanks @mike@x-ph.com for the competitive price and fast shipping!

So I finally got mine installed today and got about 50 miles with no CEL. I am tuned but have not enabled the cel suppression and will see how long I can go before the dme throws a code.

Like I read in several places, cruising around town even with the exhaust flaps open doesn't change much but when you get on it the car screams and creates a visceral feeling worth its weight in gold. Also as stated, I really debated long and hard over catless vs catted and am relieved I went catted. There is a bit of a smell from outside the car, but not bad at all. However, if it were much more noticeable it could become an issue for some. If you know you want catless then of course got for it, but if you are on the fence don't do it!

Also, slightly off-topic, but damn I was not expecting the jump to stage 2 being as significant as it is. Between the added torque and sounds the car is a completely different animal!

I have had mine for over 5,000 miles now and still nothing. I doubt that you will get the CEL light at this point.

You guys are tuned. Why would you get a CEL?

??? Lots of reasons. This is a catted DP. Some folks expect to use the downpipe without suppressing the catalyst ready monitor (local states/counties/countries have different emissions laws).

You misunderstood. I am asking since they are tuned, why are they expecting a CEL. The tunes prevent the CEL from occurring, but not setting the readiness as that is the part that is explicitly illegal. Both posters aha they are stage 2.

with BM3 you can leave the o2 sensor settings stock or deactivate them. I left it stock for a while to see if it would pop up which it didn't. mostly just curious to see how effective the cat was since there is no "CEL free" guarantee.

I understood correctly. The tunes prevent the CEL by having the catalyst monitor set to not ready, unless that has changed. Depending on your local emissions, this can be a problem. Hence, catted DP's come into play. You can enable/disable this feature as @orangepeelforest has said.

Yeah me too. Purposely seeing if it will throw a cel, if it does I will flip the switch in the tune to disable monitoring. Really just trying to provide some data points for people interested in this pipe that may not be
tuned and are worried about the cel.

About 700 miles now with no cel!

Also for those curious, had to dial back the burbles a bit as ots on bm3 veered into obnoxious territory with this thing fitted. With the stock dp this setting was fine for me.

I customed to start burbles at 3k rpm, turned up rpm to nearly 7k, and agg to 5.5. Also lowered to 1 sec duration.

I don't like burbling around town at 2k rpm, but I do like a fierce crack on liftoff above 5k and these setting work.

Slightly OT: I believe I remember seeing some comparison between catted (300 cell, 200 cell) and catless, in terms of power regain compared to stock cat.... I can't find it anymore!?

I am aware of the Wagner DP massflow diagram below and it is indicative, but it is impossible to correlate to power drop/regain from it....

My understanding is that unless you are going after huge power that there is no meaningful difference between 200cel and catless. 300cel you start reading about people questioning if it is worth it.

Actually, the difference between 200 and 300 cell (ref diagram above) is very small. What is more meaningful is that with 200 cell you no longer fulfill the environmental requirements, which (depending on where you live) creates more hassle than what 200 cell brings performance-wise over 300 cell.
Which is why I personally see 0 point in a 200 cell over 300 / catless. It simply combines the worst of both worlds.

300cel tend to be a heck of a lot more expensive. Sound clips also seem to tell that there is a significant difference in terms of sound with 200 cel not being raspy like catless but also much better sounding than 300.

Also, if 200cel is not throwing a cel and passes a sniff test (which they seem to in most cases) than it could be argued there is very little reason to pay for 300cel.
