F36 Eibach Spring issue - Lower Spring Pad fitment

Hi guys,

I've recently tried to install a set of E10-20-031-05-22 Eibach springs on my F36 w/ M Adaptive suspension, and it looks like the spring doesn't sit flush on the lower spring pad the way it would with the OEM spring. Is this an issue that anyone else has faced? I can't find anything about it on the forum, so I'm wondering if this issue is a one-off. It sits very loose on the spring pad, and the only way it would fit when installing is if I cut the spring pad wall, which may cause some rubbing.

Any advise would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have any pictures? Does the shop have the rear springs right side up?

I found the issue. Tunershop sent a set of Citroen springs instead of the springs written on the box. Of course I'd only find this out after my mechanic attempted to install both the front spring and the rear spring, so my suspension is half-apart right now. What a frustrating experience. Thank you for your message, Farkle.

Good catch. Eibach prints spring PNs on the springs, so at least you can verify whether you have the right PNs. What a frustrating mistake though!

Sorry to bug you again, I managed to source a local set of 06-22s just up the street from my mechanic. Would this fit a F36 440xi Gran Coupe?

I'm pretty sure the only difference is the front spring. It's 10mm taller.

You can use Eibach's online catalog from their euro site to confirm the rear spring PNs are the same between the two kits.

Hey Shady67 ,

Patience...not sure if you will like the 06-22 stance because of the taller front springs.

Awesome, thanks a lot Farkle. The forum needs to accumulate all of the info you've provided and created a stickied thread. Appreciate it sir.

I thought about this as well, but I would have paid roughly $200 in labour fees for nothing, so I figured I'd make the most of it. I got a good deal on them as well, as the original purchaser backed out after ordering.

I just have to avoid looking at any pics of your car, so I don't hate myself even more! Thanks for the help, smak168. You've been extremely helpful.
