Hey guys,
We haven't been active very much in this section of the forum mostly due to us not having N2x engine support as well covered as the S55/N55 and the V8s but that has now changed.

Thought we'd say hello to everyone and let you know about bootmod3's OBD Unlock support for the N2x engines released this past month. We have been getting quite a bit of interest as people come on board with the OTS maps and go further from there to tune their cars themselves with the built-in editor or with their local tuner or one of the tuners in the bootmod3's tuner directory.

There's no DME removal required anymore to get your N2x motor tuned.

We've also just announced a change to handling additional OTS (off the shelf) maps. Going forward we're moving away from charging for individual additional OTS maps and instead we'll be providing access to ALL OTS maps we might have for your car at any given time!

What does this mean?
What used to be the cost 1 additional ($50 for N20/N26/N55, $100 for S55 and $150 for S63tu/N63tu) is now the cost of the entire OTS Maps bundle. All OTS maps, including the free ones of course, will now become flashable for the cost of what used to be 1 additional OTS map.

Changes are effective immediately on our website and in the system. Anyone that has already paid for an additional OTS map in the past now has automatic access to all other OTS Maps by default and any OTS maps we're going to release in the future.

With bootmod3's offline flash feature it takes just shy of 4 minutes to go from stock to OBD unlocked and tuned with an OTS map on the car and about 40 seconds to switch (flash) from one map to another. It runs on anything you can imagine from Windows and macOS laptops to mobile iOS and Android devices. All that is required outside of a laptop to get going with it is just a $20 generic BMW ENET coding cable you can get on Amazon and you're good to go!

You're looking at just shy of $700. $595 for BM3, $50 for all the OTS maps, and about $20-$30 for an ENet cable.

This is much cheaper than when I got BM3 done, so glad to see it's affordable now! It's an amazing platform.

Actually, if you buy the license from their website you get a free map. In this case you get all PFTs OTS maps for $595 and then you have to buy the ENET cable.

What type of map do I get? Will it be a ots map with a couple options or will it be a more custom thne?

If you buy one map, you get all the OTS maps, which means all Stage 1 & 2 maps with 91/93 OCT variants. If you want a custom tune, you will need to go through a custom tuner. Once you get BM3, there is a directory of tuners you can choose from or you can go to your local tuner, have him/her create a tuner account and they can edit it with you.

Reason being that PTF switched from giving me a "Custom" vs. now, is that in my case, it was likely to establish OTS maps, but more importantly, they just have a ton of work on their hands now and can't focus on custom maps.

Also, to clarify, when you purchase BM3, you do get one free OTS map. You only need to buy the bundle if you decide to change maps later down the road.

So if I want burbles, cold start delete, and top speed limiter then I have to get a custom tune?

I'd ask PTF to clarify, but I'm 90% sure that those are all included in the OTS maps, as that is something they offered to me when they were forming the N2X OTS map baseline.

Are there OTS maps available for the 20i? I was about to hit the buy button before I noticed only 28i mentioned. I am not inclined to go past 28i levels of performance with my 20i...

I tried to tell some people on here to wait... AA is cool and all, but you can't beat BM3 right now and especially after the OTS release... All the OTS maps for $50 PLUS the ability to have custom tunes that can be done by anyone. Literally the best platform right now.
