Here is my current gaps with ACS springs on stock dampers: 4.52" front (lip of the wheel to arch of the fender) and 3.82" rear. If anyone else has an F31 i'd really like to know what theirs is.

Also, my heights match left and right sides, so both rears are at the same height, and both fronts are at the same height.
FaRKle! may be able to help with some measurements for comparison.

he doesn't have ACS, just eibach + adaptive dampers, and not even the standard eibach springs he has a combination

But I did have the 11-20-031-02-VA front springs for a while (14,290mi).

I even made a log entry about how I tested proof of concept for stiffer springs and decided to move away from the standard Eibach fronts.

Are you still rocking the spring boosters? Any long term issues to report?

I'm not anymore. I used them for a about a month and 1800mi before changing to the stiffer Eibach front spring. I wouldn't be worried about running them long term though. I'll likely play around with some for the rear in the near future.

I was thinking about some for the rear myself.

If you look at enough F30's youll notice that most if not all have a hair of reverse rake with OEM suspension set ups. Guess they are meant to be that way.

Mine is no different currently with my aftermarket set up and Im wondering if a slight spacer in the rear would set me just right.

Im also a bit concerned because Im going to be towing a small watercraft shortly this summer which is going to even further cause the rear end to sag a bit further when towing.

Hey sspade, i got those same spacers FaRKle! used to see if they would work in the rear, but they're not even close, way too big, also got another style that was at autozone, also not even close. Coils are too close together, and the diameter is also too small.

Thx for sharing. Saved me the trouble. Guess the generic ones wont work for us. Need something designed for aftermarket springs Im thinking.

So... summarizing (I hope)... if I was looking for improved handling for daily driver duty with a mild drop (ie less than inch), B8 and the appropriate Eibach springs would be the ticket?

Yes. You could probably easily get away with B6 as well since the drop isn't too much.

That's what I'm currently considering.

spring spacers and higher than recommended coilover setting

I have the KW V3 on my 2013 335 xDrive and even adjusting the coils 1/2" higher than KW's max height recommendations it's still pretty low. Despite great care I still drag bottom panels on uneven roads.

The problem with adding spring spacers or screwing the spring seats higher is that you could start topping out the damper. They're not designed for this load.

True, there's nothing to prevent topping out even at recommended ride heights. It'll just happen more often as the resting shock position gets closer to full extension.

I'm following the "strong" recommendation of Chris Benny at Prova Motorsports in Seattle. He wasn't keen about going 1/2" higher. I made the SWAG that KW included that much safety margin in their design. After 40k miles they're OK so maybe I could have gone higher?

The car handles so well with this setup that I'm not enticed to go back to stock ride height despite having needed to replace the underbody panels ahead of the rear wheels. Twice. (Fairly easy. About $80 per panel.)

So what do you recommend, if you had another choice have you considered another brand? What do you want to run?

I installed H&R's on my wifes Diesel M-Sport and it was an enormous drop. Her car was fitted with the factory front lip and in Texas , nearly every driveway rubbed. I would not call the ride bouncy at all - it was non linear and very stiff. Ultimately she decided she wanted to sit up higher and we replaced her car with an E70 X5M. I was concerned about resale so I quickly reinstalled the existing springs.

Reinstalling the OEM M-Sport Springs was much more difficult than installing shorter springs obviously. If you plan on keeping the car, I would definitely suggest a full coilover setup - with the appropriate time spent adjusting.

I've got some Eibach springs on the way, 0.8"/0.6" drop. I also was contacted by ACS on solutions to fix the reverse rake and he gave me some spring options that ACS Germany tested out that would be compatible.

They researched my situation and found it to be "normal". They did a further investigation as to why their springs sit that way on my car, and came up with another spring part number that is compatible and would lower the front end 10-15mm.

Had ACS U.S, actually Iocated here next to me In Irvine, the reps name is Eric Tsou told me the compatible ACS spring.

That spring I did some research on what kit it's from, asked him to send me the TUV data and backtracked it to an existing Eibach part/spring set that was actually designed for the F31.

So TL;DR ACS Germany told me the spring set to fix my reverse rake is the same exact set sold in Europe by Eibach, that Eibach designed for the car in the first place.

Thanks 328dX ...
Fascinating. Any sense for how that Eibach UK kit compares to a Eibach US kit?

I could not find anyone selling the Eibach kit for an F31 in the U.S. in regards to part numbers it's the same.

I purchased off eBay from Poland and they arrived yesterday. Will be installed at the end of next week.
