So I removed my JB4 and recently went to BM3. I'm on OEM Plugs and Coils. N55 PWG latest OTS Map from PTF. Car has full power u til I cross a certain speed/RPM then I limp out. I'm in the process of getting logs. I did get these codes from the PTF agent and not sure what to make of them. I'm trying to make a longer cord right now as the one cord I have is super short. That explains the super cropped pic angle lol. Will try and pull more codes today if I can. The stock map works fine. Car has no issues. I noticed yesterday when I stomped the car (before the DT Malf) that a huge fuel cloud came out the back of my car when it took off. Almost seems like it's running super rich but I'm not sure. Will have to log it or something. The car does not have a bad TMAP ground as I tried grounding it and was not lucky. Just trying to get general feedback on the subject. I do have an open ticket with the PTF Customer Service and they are amazing.

not going to be much help but i flashed bm3 last week on the same motor.

n55 pwg.

aside from the 'known' fuel pump issue that required an 'online flash' click via the flash tool, i am having no issues at all.

for what its worth the fem / kombi codes are most likely unrelated. although if they were not popping up before and are now... maybe battery? did you flash with a charger / external power supply hooked up?

edit : no issues... rather... my dsc likes to kick in a lot more frequently now when i floor it

No other issues aside from that. Super strange. I'm going to try and flash to a stage 1 map tonight and see if that's working

Unrelated to your specific issue, but how did you open your support ticket? Via email or via the bootmod3.net login, and then choosing "req support" under the "my tunes" tab?

I opened a support ticket using the latter method and haven't heard back for over a week.

In my experience, the code reading in the BM3 app is less than helpful. It tends to be very generic, or most of the time just not have a description (and also never seems to clear codes). Do you have Carly? The most recent updates added a TON of information for diagnostic codes and has been extremely helpful for me in solving issue like these.

I actually grabbed my adapter this morning and read the codes out today. These are what I got

I don't have any logs as of yet. Long story short I need to make an extension or buy another cord. I'm making an extension as my cord was used for the agent device so it's very very short. I will do some logs in OEM stock map and this stage 2 as well

I wouldn't be logging under and significant load. Your DME seems to be indicating that there's a lot of knock happening. Unless you are hell bent on spinning a rod bearing or destroying a piston, I'd hold off and in the interim, go back to a stock tune or very conservative tune.

I don't think you're going to be alone in that as more flashed cars are driven in hot summer temps and start knocking badly because the tune is pushing things a bit too hard.

My plan is to go back to Stock map and do some logs and then switch to the stage 2 again and try to take a log or two

This man has hit the nail on the head!! 1000000% That car is knock knock knocking!!

I would think tuning the car now that it is warmer would be more beneficial vs tuning the car in cold weather. It would be easier to tune out advanced timing which would be prone to knock vs tuning for advanced timing and knock under cool weather conditions. The motor likes cold weather tuning. More power. As soon as it gets warmer watch out the parameters start to change.
Some tuners like with AEM stand-alone s would have a cold weather tune and a warm weather tune.

Update

So I ran the car on the Stock map and did a few logs. Car runs like a top. The issues are definitely in the tune so now it's down to the custom files. I might talk with PTF team after I send them the logs and see what they say. I'm feeling a lot better now that I know it isn't the car

This is why a lot of guys like custom tuning over OTS tunes. One flavor definitely does not fit ALL. Gas quality/time of the year, altitude and climate can be all big factors
