Burger Tuning Billet Tips

Hey guys, I wanted your help with something, maybe someone has run into this ?

I have the new BMS tips. I know they are supposed to be installed over your stock tips. When I place them over the oem tips, it looks like the oem tip can't sit flush inside of bms tip. The locating pin is preventing the bms tip to be fully seated against the oem one.

Anyone else have this issue or is it supposed to be like that? The previous designs all had a notch for the locating pin.

IDK, 1st I heard of these type tips from BMS

Looked on their site & see they are new

The version I had (slip on), you removed the OEM tips and installed the BMS in their place - fitment was perfect with those

Why would you want tips that go over the OEM's when they are so EZ to remove to begin with, & what would be the benefit of installing over the OEM?

Only benefit is the larger diameter look over stock.

I have ///M etched tips from eBay that slip over and fit/look fine.

Not sure. These are their new design. It doesn't have the notch for the locating pin so I think this is the issue. I could be wrong.

It just comes with the tips is two screws to hold the tips over the oem.

It looks good mounted on the car because it gives it a beefier look.

But that gap bothers me since it won't sit perfectly.

Have you tried contacting BMS?

They are usually pretty good at responding.

That gap would bother me too...

Wow thanks for actually pointing this out. So I just check and I accidentally ordered the tips for a E9x series instead of F series. No wonder it's not going past the locating pin.

Thanks for pointing this out. It's always the stuff right in front of you that you miss.

Hmm wonder if Burger would swap them out for the correct ones. I would hate to be out $140. The correct ones are $100.

Thanks everyone
