No idea. Something is wrong with the Argument you used.

Be sure to run Tool32.exe with Admin Rights too.

Thanks very much Shawn, Im new to coding BMW's but experienced IT user. I have been using the bimmercode app and when changing some options (on easy mode) to do with the seat belt chime it failed and then threw up a restraint error code. Restored the ECU from a backup and all clear but now the code still comes up.

There will be no physical error but is it simple enough to clear the codes with this tool?

Yes, but you must have ENET Cable, not Bluetooth Dongle.

Install in XP SP3 Compatibility Mode and Run with Admin Rights.

But if you want to read and interpret them in a meaningful way, then you need ISAT/D (Rheingold), which I cannot help with.

I used the above solution via Esys in the end to clear the restraint/airbag error code. It worked wonders via this method.
