Is it correct that cheatsheets are not made anymore and there is an alternative to these cheatsheets?

i found it in this post:
https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh....php?t=1227585

how does the XML file open/read work?

Another question(maybe not in the correct topic):
i want to fold/unfold the mirrors when i shortly press my open/close button on the key. is that possible? the car has the folding mirrors option with the specific button in the mirror/window console.
i don't mean the comfort close where i have to keep the buttons pressed for a few seconds. just when i simply press the button once to open/close my car i want the mirrors to fold/unfold also.

Integrated Cheat Codes: E-Sys Launcher V2.4.x:

All you can code is the delay before folding starts to 0 though, so you press and hold it for only about 1 second before they fold.

Shawn,

I tried to PM you but I'm a new BMW owner and new to the forum so I can't PM until I make a couple posts..

This may seem like an odd request I'm looking for a UPDXXXXX.bin file that comes from one of the aftermarket USB websites (such as bimmer-tech, bmweasycoding, DVDInMotion, ebay, etc) Do you, or anyone else, have one laying around I can look at?

I know it won't work with my car as those files are locked to the VIN but I wanted to take a quick look at one.

Thanks

Hello Shawn,

What would be the simplest way to code a HU with 6.5" display to work with a 8.8" display? I have read that there are only two lines of code that need to be changed. I have not bought any cable or OBD connector. After reading many posts in different forums , I have some idea about the different software options but need some direction from the experienced folks like you.

Here are the details:

Looking to install an MMI in 328xi (F30)
Car production date: 5/27/2015
Current HU: Entry Nav
Screen: 6.5"(NO Navigation)
Used screen bought: 8.8"

Laptop: windows 10, only USB port available or MacBook

Thanks

Just wanted some input on the simplest combination of cable, OBD module and software which will work with Windows 10 (no rj45 jack). Any system that will work on the MacBook?

Is there a USB cable available that connects to the OBD? If not, then would an adapter work?

I understand that you have to change two lines of code to activate the widescreen mode.

Can I do this with Bimmercode or do I need to get
Esys with the Ethernet cable?
I can read through the many forums and try to figure it out, but was hoping for some suggestions from other's experiences to start in the right direction.

No idea on Bimmercode. Never used it.

You can do it with a Windows PC using E-Sys and an ENET Cable. If you have no LAN Port, you can use a USB x LAN Adapter.
