I hadn't seen that overseas listing before, I probably wouldn't have ordered on there, but it's definitely an option for some people! $957 delivered to the US!

The Match Up 7BMW amplifier works great if your BMW has BMW's midrange HiFi audio system. The BMW Base Audio system (not sold in US) requires the Match 7DSP amplifier along with two Match cables to make it plug and play.

US cars either have HiFi audio (with no tweeters in rear doors and no speakers on rear package shelf), or the Top HiFi/ Harman Kardon system. The HK system takes the new Match 10DSP amplifier plus two match components to integrate it in to BMW.

So if you have the BMW HiFi Audio system, the Match 7BMW amplifier is totally plug and play. It replaces the stock amplifier in the left rear trunk alcove.

BMW speakers are really good except for the two underseat subwoofers. The only underseat subwoofers with the specs to sound great in the tiny underseat subwoofer cabinets are the Earthquake Sound SWS-8Xi (2-ohm) which you can buy from Walmart Online, Amazon and ECS Tuning for about $129ea. You also need a $25 pair of Earthquake spacer rings that can be bought direct if retailers don't have them. All of the Match amps putout exactly the correct power to the Earthquakes.

Did you do any comparison listening between your 7BMW and anyone's Harman Kardon?

Did you have stock BMW HiFi speakers? Including stock underseat subwoofers?

Curious to hear your impressions?
