My first BMW

Hey y’all !

I love seeing the pictures of all the beautiful cars on the forum and reading all the great advice from the members.

Just waiting for delivery on my first BMW after years of Audi ownership.

Getting a 2018 330i XDrive sedan in Alpine White on Cognac leather. It has the M packages I & II and only 50,000 km on the odometer.

Buying it from a local BMW dealer and it’s a trade in from one of their long time customers who is a 72 year old lady that just bought her 6th 3 series sedan from them.

It comes with 2 sets of nearly new tires - Pirelli winters on rims now and a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (pretty cool lady owner !!).

The wheels are the 19” lightweight MSport rims and the dealership is having them redone for me since there was some curb rash.

I was at my mechanic’s having another 330i inspected I was going to buy when this one popped up on the notifications. It had less mileage and more options at a better price ! I ran to the dealership that day and put a deposit on it…sometimes the universe works in your favor !!

Thank you !! Indeed lol…plus the other one didn’t have the package with the paddles and sport tuned transmission. I would have lived with it but so much happier I’ll be able to shift my own gears when on a nice country road !!

Good call. The paddles with the sport transmission are a requisite.

Thanks! I’m a big fan of white. Most dirt is kind of light colored, so contrary to popular opinion white actually hides dirt really well. And it really pops when it’s freshly washed, so washing it is very satisfying! And it doesn’t hurt that it stays cooler in the summer sun! I will admit though, even though it would be too much for most people, my favorite F30 color combo is Melbourne Red with a Coral Red leather. But, Melbourne Red with the Cognac leather would be a close second. My second BMW was a 2004 ZHP in Imola Red with Natural Brown leather. Melbourne Red is almost a metallic version of Imola Red.

Yeah ! I’m in the snow and slush 4-5 months a year and did notice that white cars look less dirty…with black being the worst as all the dirt shows up.
Also love the red, always have and there were many more red BMWs and cars in general back in the 80s & 90s. I find most are grey, black, or white now. Sometimes you see a nice blue but it’s pretty rare.
I think any tan or brown etc. Is a classic combo with reds. I gotta say the red on red in your pics looks amazing ! Never saw that on a BMW ! Only on Ferrari and such. Love both the Melbourne and Imola reds. Both make the car design and curves pop !!
Very cool ! The ZHP is quite rare and I’ve never seen one in person…at least that I know of lol

Sounds like a fantastic find, congrats! Alpine White with Cognac leather is a classy combo. Plus low mileage and M packages? Definitely a win.
