F36 headlining
Any one know what the procedure is to drop the rear of the headlining so i can access the telematic unit?

I changed my telematics battery the other day… the whole headlining doesn’t need to come down, as you can access it from removing 2 side panel trims and bending down the headlining a little.
My only warning this method, is A) you are likely to scratch your wrists and arms from reaching in as the gap is tight of which you don’t want to over bend the headlining. B) because you are bending the headlining down, you will get some crease marks on the headlining where it does bend, which is not too noticeable when you put it back together, but it will be there. This is the video that helped me, it shows the 2 trims panels which needs to be removed+ the clip right in the middle of the roof |

So I dropped the headlining , located and removed the telematic unit and this allowed the aerial section with in the sharks fin to be removed and replaced
I now have a working satnav again |
