Exclamation BMW F32 Leak under car (photo/video)

Hello all,

First time poster here so sorry if this is in wrong place.

Went supermarket this evening then when coming home saw a small spot on the floor with a trail coming away from where i had previously been parked and drove off.

Checked under my car right away and noticed the area below where my center console was glistening. Shortly after i saw a droplet land myself so knew it was from my car.

A friend of mine i asked said it is most likely condensation from the AC but its winter and haven't been running it! I did a 2 hour journey a few days ago and did have the heater on for the whole thing and tonight was the first time I've moved it since then so no idea...

Checked coolant and seems fine

As you can see in the photo its got a brown colour to it but pretty sure it isn't oil? I only got the car at the end of December so its still under warranty for now with warrantywise.

You can see the droplets in the photos are clear/milky

If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

AC condensate is pure water. It has no color or smell and after a bit will evaporate. That's not AC condensate. It looks like oil.

I've just been back outside and wiped the area with the droplets with a cloth and it smells like fuel?? is that where the diesel tank is on an F32?

I second "just smell it". Coolant has the distinctive sweet coolant smell, oil a oil + fuel smell, differentials a pungent crude oil smell. Transmission (auto) is a sweet oil smell.

The tank should be near the rear (where you fill it). Does it smell like diesel?

Thinking about it, if you had an oil leak previously, diesel does work like a solvent so it would explain the "oil residue on the ground" + the clear droplets (actual diesel)

When I wiped the area where the clear droplets were with some paper towel it did smell like fuel.

Driving it into work this morning (about 30 mins) the miles left did feel like it was dropping slightly quicker than normal but could just be being paranoid. I filled up 5 mins into the journey and the miles left were actually rising after a short while. Checked again under the car when I stopped for fuel and I believe it was leaking slightly. Will try and book into the garage this week

Thanks for the input so far
