Looks super clean- are those F80 door pulls I spy? I have eyed some of those with the red stitching but didn’t know how they would compare to the reds typically found in F30 interiors

How much of a pain was the coolant hose?

Finished my FOD defense mesh. Removed the bumper and used the time to clean everything. Found an interesting hitchhiker though. And I'm pretty sure I'm set on deleting the fog lights. Please excuse the dirty car.

I'm curious and need a project. What did you use for the defense mesh and where did you source it? Just as curious how you attached it - looks clean front and back.

Hey! Got everything from Amazon. And the same product that FaRKle! has in his video description below. Wider spacing for the top, closer spacing for the bottom.

The kidney grills were easy (cleaner?). I was able to hide the zip ties behind the slats. The lower grills (all three) didn't have a really good place to do that. If you zoom in, you can see the zip ties go around the horizontal/vertical slats to secure the mesh. I'm ok with that because it's honestly hard to see. The aux radiator is messed up - pretty much all the fins are bent. Swapping that out, and a fog light delete, are next on the list.

I just the same with mine after murdering a tumbleweed at 80mph broke my lower grill and jammed a bunch of sticks in there. Hoping this will work out. I also attached with a bunch of small zip ties. Bought the product on Amazon and trimmed to fit with some tin snips.

And it came out great. It honestly adds a great aesthetic to the bumper.

Thank you!
I need to redo the kidneys. I was out of time and just kind of folded over some left over material and jammed it in there.

Yup, thanks! Being Sakhir Orange they are a little lighter than the Coral Red, but the only time you really notice that is in direct sunlight. It's close enough that I'm glad I put them in, they feel & look better and also make for a comfy knee rest on long drives.

Discovered just how many lights go off when the brake pad wear sensor trips- got right at 40k out of a set of Akenbono front pads, just ordered another set.

I also discovered you can trigger your panic alarm while driving with the key fob, as when I was bending down to plug my BT dongle to double check the code my keys in my locked must have hit the button, what a strange feature! If it lets me start my car then walk walk away and lock it with a fob to warm it up, I guess I’ll take that trade off though

Bought my first BMW a couple weeks back, a 2015 335i. Really wish I got an msport but I got a good deal on one that was well maintained with 64,000 miles. Oil changes every 6-8K and has recently had the valve cover gasket replaced. However, it makes a squeal noise when auto-stopping, and after some research I may need to replace the entire valve cover

Today I replaced both air filters and the spark plugs. Was on the fence about also replacing the ignition coils, but after looking at them they look great. Replaced the plugs with the Bosch ZR5TPP33.

I also replaced the front passenger door lock actuator. It seemed like some water was getting inside the door, which might have led to the door lock failing. It rained pretty hard on/off yesterday. Anyone have experience with this?

Excited to tinker around with this car and make it mine

Cat has to come out of the way, so depending on your situation that may be an issue with space. But overall it wasn't bad
