F31 Chassis Stabilization
I have a 2014 328! Xdrive F31.
Recently replaces the transfer case and took the vehicle to BMW to make sure the software is updated. I still have a chassis stabilization warning on. It is on all time time from start-up to turning it off. Cruise and drivability is fine but is stuck in comfort mode. Will getting a OBD2 and Bimmertech give me the ability to reset the code? If so will it help diagnose why it is throwing the code? Thanks for the help, |

Why not take it back and let them fix what they caused? Assuming you did not have that code before taking it there. If you try and they may think you messed with it, they may make you pay for fixing it.
If you had that error before you went to the BMW dealer, then go back and check your work. Assuming any new parts that needed coding to your car were coded properly. And I would use ISTA+ (free to download, just check the other threads) and a $10 ENET cable. You ma need to reset adaptations or do a calibration, which ISTA does for you.

I would absolutely take it back to BMW to fix the software/coding. When I had the tcase replaced under warranty on my previous 328d the shop that completed the work told me numerous times how difficult the coding was and they had to do it multiple times. Whether that was the lack of knowledge/experience of the shop or not, I do not know.
Did you do the tcase swap or did another shop? Max |
