Need help, I'm about to change my rims

I'm currently running 20x8.5 +35 245-30-20 all around.

New rims are Rotiform SPF 20x10 +40, from what I see on this post rear should be fine. I will probably run a 255-30-20 or 265

1- Will a 10 inch wide fit in the front with a 255? If yes do I need a spacer?

I'm also installing Fender flares and was thinking of a 15mm spacer to poke them out a little.

I will not cut the fenders but will give them an Agressive role.

A few Pics, current set up, test fit with flares, and the rims with a 245-30-20, decided not to go with the stretch look.

Don't install the flares if you're not going to cut your fenders. You have to cut them if you actually want to get more room. All you're going to do is push your tire into the stock body and still have a huge gap to the flares.

The flares are not that wide, 40mm I'm not going for that super flush look.

I don't mind the tires being tucked inside a little, that why I was thinking something like 15 mm spacers and that would leave me with maybe 20mm to be flush with the fenders.

What do you think?

40mm is pretty aggressive. and it won't look good, because you won't be able to fit 40mm more wheel/tire underneath with the stock body.

do you like what you see in the pic where the flares are just taped on? because it'll look like that, or worse if you add more camber to fit the wider wheels.

i understand not wanting to cut up the body, but in that case skip the flares. there are a lot of stock body cars in here that look great. otherwise do it right so you can fill them up.

Am I going to have issues with my x-drive if I am using an OEM set up of 666M rims with tires. Stock ride height for now, until my Bilstein B14's come off of back order.

Tire sizes: 265/30R20, 285/30R20.

I finally feel worthy of posting. I got my KW V1s installed over the weekend and lowered them all the way down but the rears were still a little to high for my liking. I removed the adjustment collars and now it's just about perfect. I may raise the front a bit to get rid of the rake and make it easier to get around but so far I'm mostly just scrapping the air deflector under the bumper. But I'm very happy with the ride. I do rub on full lock now but I can still take long sweeping corners at speed without issue. I was never an autox type of guy anyway

Thanks again to F30_SixSpeed and Johnny250 for the motivation. Now I just need some spacers and/or wheels.

Yep, I wanted to get the coils fitted and get an alignment before taking measurements for spacer sizing. Those will be coming in a few weeks along with some wheel studs.

Regarding aftermarket wheels, I like monoblock designs. I'm passively waiting for APEX to release their 19" wheels because I figure those will be light and be the right offset to fit as much tire as possible. Otherwise just waiting for some nice japanese forged wheels to pop up in the classifieds at a crazy price. I love Advans and Volks but theyre outside my price range new and I wouldn't want to wait months for a set. We'll see what happens.

Stupid question: what's everybody running for lug nuts/bolts? Do the stock ones work with aftermarket wheels? If not, any recommendations? Apex maybe?

Has anyone here run some fat ass tires in the rear?

Looking to fit 295/30s on 19x10" wheel et 40. Think it'll fit with minimal modifications? I'm on 265/30 right now with very little camber and there seems to be a lot of room (talking with a grain of salt here, no finger wheel gap but room in the wheel well area.) I think I can fit them with my current setup honestly with no fender work needed. I'm at -1-1.5 camber iirc.... would be willing to go to -2-2.5 degrees max but rather not run a ton of camber.

N0Chill 335i what you think? lol
