Hi guys I bought door trim panels that change from classic to sport mode through iDrive. I have the LCI retrofit AC panel that changes from classic to sport, but I cant get the door trim panels to change through iDrive. Has anyone purchased these trim panels from Aliexpress and get them to work?

Did your car initially come with the ambient lighting in the original door cards?

Yes it did, but only it only had the orange. I coded my car for it to include the sport lighting. It only changes the color from orange to blue on the Radio/AC LCI trim. It is not changing the lights on the door trim. The new trim has both colors.

The door trim panel that you bought from Aliexpress work via a switch that comes with the product.

how much brighter are these than the stock ones? I like the new door cards in the newer bmws but worried about aftermarket ones looking too "aftermarket"

Yes I know you can switch it on the trim itself, but you can also change it via iDrive so you don't have to switch each individual trim piece.

They are a lot brighter if you have it up all the way, but you can lower the brightness in iDrive. The actual trim piece looks great in the piano black. Ive gotten many complements on them.

its probably because you are missing a wire. the ambient 2 wire from fem.

did the original connector from the original light in the door had 3 or 2 wires?

if it had 2 you need te add a wire from fem. connector 9B.




you can also check another thing. you say you can change color with the switch. that means you connected the wrong connector. on the lights there are 2 connectors. 1 with 2 wires and one with 3 wires. you need to plug the 3 wire plug in or else it will only change with the switch

Hi .. I'm wondering if you make it work after all? Cuz I juz bump into the same problem, after coding:

HU_CIC: Colour_Switch aktiv
HU_CIC: Colour_Switch_Lines sport
FEM_BODY CS_type two_colours
FEM_BODY PIA_DEFAULT_CS Farbe_2
FEM_BODY MAPPING_LCI_7_FUNCTION cs_2

AC panel that changes from classic to sport, but cant get the door trim panels to change,and have already check the connector all with 3 wires on it, but still can't figure out why is the door trim only shows orange light!

can anyone help?
