I checked online already there isn't much info out there...

Did you ever find out what these were? I had the same the other day and car went into limp mode. Turned off and on again with no change.

30 mile drive in limp mode and restarted the car and it's fine.

F87 M2.

Erm after a long time i have finally come down to it being a faulty DME unit wether from the previous owner playing around in the engine bay without disconnecting the battery or from just degradation... My car is a 2012 model...

But i found a video from a guy in South Africa with the exact same problem.. he has it resolved at BMW SA by replacing the DME unit...

So now i am in the process of finding a new or used DME unit....

I hope this helps ... once the problem has been fixed 100% i will post up the solution.
