I may be in the minority, but not planning any mods except from the winter wheels I've added.

Unlike my 330d xdrive which benefited from ACS springs, not sure what I would change on my M40i. It has plenty of power and handling for my requirements (and ability).

What a wagon! Looks great.

That’ll be me.....in @ 3 bloody years when I can afford it.

Agree it’s better choice than the 5 series. Can’t believe the deals aren’t better on the 5 though.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I saw the photo at the service station. Leave as is Tim.
Well I've got the black grille coming anyway so I'll try them on. This cerium grey trim is a bugger to clean though, I can't seem to get the water marks off, this is after a good scrub with sonax BSD:
I applied Chemical Guys Jet Seal to sort the problem.

I noticed the same type of marks on the X4 40d I had on loan. The door mirrors had dark streak marks on them and to be honest I tried to clean them and couldn't get them perfectly clean, never thought too much about it till you mentioned it. Surely if they are marked and cannot be cleaned BMW will need to replace them?.

I gave them a harder scrub and they're getting better, will have to experiment with other cleaning products.

Also now fitted my winter wheels, fitted the rubber mats and took a few more photos:
Have you tried a damp lens cleaning cloth and used filtered water?

What rubber mats did you go for, something I want to get?
Tried IPA and it made no difference, but some Megs ultimate compound brought them up a treat!

Have sealed them with Gtechniq C2 so hopefully that stops it from happening again.

Yeah same here, I'll be the one buying Tim's 3 year old car when he chops it in for something even better

Although I think my first choice would be a M40i.

Yes - have them on! Run flats and ride is actually pretty good and quiet - but the acoustic glass probably helps!

No the B57 is very smooth, even more so than the N57. In fact there isn’t any sound deadening on the underside of the bonnet so not sure if it’s only the 20d’s that have it to reduce the clatter.

Also the engine starts much quicker, which really improves start/stop.

Nice. How does the Marino leather feel? Mine came with Nappa with Comfort seats, IMHO a massive step up from Dakota.

Also love the winter wheels. I tried to get those Autec's from mrwinterwheels but they only had 17" in stock, so I ended up getting the Borbet 18". The prices from BMW are a joke, dealer asking 2K for 17". Still not fitted them! Weather is too warm.

It feels very similar to Nappa in the current 7 series so i’m not sure if there is a difference. It does smell incredible though!

WILL PEOPLE WITH PRIVACY GLASS STOP POSTING PICTURES. It's seriously making me depressed - LOL ;-)

IN all seriousness - nice ride man, and write up. Did you try booting it whilst in sport mode yet? The ASD is pretty cool at making you FEEL LIKE THE MAN (in a Borat voice). Your clean ride looks awesome, prompted my to give mine a wash today and realise the ceramic I put on the winters before mounting actually works well.

Also, you made me realise I had this thing a month and I still didn't pop the hood to take a look. How crap is that?

Enjoy it - I'm a month and 1500miles in and I still just love getting in and going for a ride for no reason.

The individual Merino is better than the Nappa, so yours should be the top grade very soft and waxy.

It is very soft, not sure it could be described as waxy though.
