F30 LCI Radio Trims From China
Has any brave soul bought a LCI radio trim from China yet?
It seems all the youtubers link to ones sold from Czech. The cheapest I can find is $67 https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Genuine...jCR:rk:13:pf:0 and needing a $25 cable, while going up to about $120 for the bundle. https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Genuine...mfm:rk:12:pf:0 There are Chinese origin trim that sells for $50 with being wired with the Y-cable already, https://www.ebay.com/itm/Illuminated...0~1:rk:29:pf:0 but the photos show the lights being more of a blueish color (possibly bad photo shop?). Some trims even have in the description that it is a dual color orange and blue (instead of white). Did F30's in other countries come with blue ambient lighting instead of white? Has anyone purchased one from China and confirm the blue or white color? Just trying to save a little money if it's the same product from either place. Thanks in advance. i've got a set from ebay and they are indeed blue...
but the good part is that i stay with red/orange the whole entire time anyway and having the Y-cable wired to the trim is the reason why i got this instead of the OEM....$25 for that cable is quite expensive IMO |

I bought mine off ECS Tuning for about $52 a couple weeks ago and its OEM. It doesnt come with the Y cable but at least you're guaranteed good quality and its cheaper then a lot of other places.

@greyf36 yeah, some sellers were wanting 40 for the y cable, found the 25 dollar ones a little after some searching.
@jetblack09 Does the one from ECS tuning have orange and white? Mind linking the product? Tried searching on ECT but couldn't find it. |

This cable works perfectly for a couple of £/$.
The males fit the BMW female plug. Pop the shroud off of the female ends and the 3 pins fit perfectly into the male BMW plugs. A little insulating tape to hold it all firm and you're good to go for practically no cost. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Futaba-JR-S...oAAOSwCkZZXMH5 |

$65 from Getbmwparts. Everything is OEM. It comes with all the sockets and pins to make your own cable.

OEM $51.66, i believe it does have orange and white. I only use orange since I cant change it to white in my F30 but def something you might want to ask ECS about. https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-LED-F30...53.m2749.l2649 and thats the Y-cable I bought for $30, the guy uses all OEM parts to make the cable as well. |

Cheap also at GetBMW (which is an actual BMW dealer) at $49:

I bought mine OEM from FCPEuro and it was about $50. I also bought the parts for the Y cable from them for another $15 or so. All in for all OEM parts is $65. If you are OK getting rid of your cup holder light, you don't even need the splitter cable.
