Best bang for coilovers
My current struts are leaking on my 435 xdrive with EDC. I've been looking around for some coilover options and there are so many to choose from.
What's a good brand if I'm looking for something good but not looking to spend a fortune? I'm not looking to go too low either since there are quite harsh winters where I live. Also if I get coilovers will I have to buy an additional EDC delete kit or can it simply be coded off? |

xDrive drivetrain limits the choice of coilovers.
I had very good experience with KW Street Comfort coilovers which can be set at nearly OEM height if needed for winter driving. I suggest EDC Delete kit - a simpler approach. |

I report back once my "Flatout suspension" coilovers are installed in the next couple of weeks... they have a lot of great features so let's hope they are as good as they say they are... the SR is $1242 before shipping cost if you go thru there facebook page...

Yeah doesn't seem like it's available for xDrive. I'm looking at KW V1. I'm just not sure how much it will lower the car if i'm on sport suspension.

I've never heard of them before but it seems like what i'm looking for. Has a wide range for lowering from .5-3 inches. Doesn't seem like they make anything for 4 series tho

Also, KW streetcomfort IS available for xdrive. If the suspension fits a F3x then it fits the 4 series, too. The only thing to confirm is xdrive vs rwd as the front shocks are shorter on xdrive. Else it will hit the axles.

Irontitz, KW Street Comfort coilovers are available for xDrive vehicles. My prior vehicle was 2013 335i xDrive sedan.
If you are concerned about ground clearance in winter driving conditions, KW V1 may not be the optimum choice as these coilovers will lower your vehicle: 30-60mm front /35-60mm rear. |
