Can anyone recommend a shop to supply/fit an MMI car play box around the London/Hertfordshire area? Thanks

Pretty easy DIY - are you sure your car does not support Carplay without an MMI or do you want Android Auto?

Has anyone used droid UK for their MMI box? I’ve got a 2015 Pre LCI with pro nav so this looks to be my best option.

Thanks for your PM, still couldn’t reply I’m afraid! Presume because I’m new still.

Basically my issue is..
I have CarPlay activated in my car via USB when I first purchased my car, I’m currently after full screen CarPlay so need to update my iDrive level I can do this at work through ISTA but will lose nav and CarPlay due to the FSC codes from what I’ve read. Anyway you would be able to help me sort this once I’ve updated the vehicle?

You work at a Main Dealer?

did the USB activation come with 2 files - one to activate, one to revert?

Yes I do, and no the USB was just the install file so no way to revert annoyingly.

The right way to fix it is to flash head unit, inject the factory FSC codes then patch the head unit. This will allow you to revert when your car needs another update. Send me a private message once you have enough posts.

Hi. BMW newbie here. My 2018 420i gran coupe is being delivered today and I want to understand my options and costs for getting CarPlay added. I have the VIN number on the paperwork and I think it has enhanced bluetooth (as I was using the Spotify app wirelessly during the test drive and could see the album artwork). Grateful for any help on the safest and most cost effective way to have CarPlay added. TIA!
