ZF 8HP45 Fill Plug

I was trying to do a transmission service on my F34. I watched the DIY from FCP Euro on the procedure. They said to use an 8mm allen to loosen the fill plug. Thankfully I did that first because it could have been much worse. I stripped it because my allen wrench only was able to go it about half way. I pushed it in to make sure it bottomed out. So I turned it and it stripped. I took the allen wrench out and thankfully only the front part of the plug was stripped and there was still some meat left for my wrench to grab onto. But, the 8mm won’t fit in all the way just like at the beginning. Tried a 7mm and it was too small. Hoping I can get some help.
