Spotify Issue - Blank Screen
So now that I've got Spotify working in my F36, I'm starting to get frustrated with how temperamental it can be! It's always hit and miss as to whether the display will work in my car.
I use it wirelessly and whilst the Spotify App will 'mostly' play fine, the display will often appear blank meaning I am unable to view the current song being played, skip the song or even switch play lists. I have tried most things from unlocking my phone, unlocking the BMWConnected app and opening Spotify from there, unlocking the Spotify app etc but once the screen is blank, it just doesn't want to seem to snap out of it... unless I restart my phone (Samsung S8) which isn't an ideal solution everytime. Has anyone else encountered this and found a suitable solution? |

It can be painful at times. I've only used it for a couple of weeks. It tends to get upset when you get out and then back in the car in quick succession e.g. petrol station, or if you get in/out in an area with low 4G signal. Sometimes it will play as media and doesn't say Spotify in the info bar at the top of the display.
I find that if I get the blank screen you're talking about and I'm patient, it will connect eventually. Not ideal but I do like the playlists that Spotify generates.
