exhaust upgrades
Got a 2015 m sport 335i... wanting to get a deeper growl without breaking the bank... I deleted my resonator but still not loud or deep enough..I'm still under warranty so I'm staying away from any options that will void it. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately all exhaust options break the bank IMO. I cannot believe exhausts for BMW's are $1500+. I came from the asian market and there are plenty of inexpensive options. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the msrp of the vehicle. Vendors think they can charge more for a part since the car cost more.

I paid $850 for my MPE at the time for my F30 which to me wasn't breaking the bank by much given the rates that other exhausts that others have listed. Granted the MPE sounded a lot better in combination with my Fabspeed downpipe.

850 is still kinda pricey but kinda reasonably compared to others.. I'm still under warranty so gotta stay away from the down pipes at least for now

You can do just a resonator delete which will be your cheapest option for some gurgles and rasp, but don’t expect too much. It is noticeable but not nearly as noticeable as aftermarket or MPE

Honestly you may want to call around a few reputable muffler shops to discuss getting something customized/fabricated if you want to spend the least. You're gambling with that option though. Whereas something high quality like AWE, you know exactly what you're getting.

So I see price seems to be the greatest factor but I feel inclined to ask what type of sound are you looking for? This will be the sound that you live with for some time and given that the MPE was the least expensive of the options, I didn't opt got it based on price, I actually liked the deep sound it had which was subtle and loud enough for my taste when I it to be.
My exhaust sound currently after the DP and custom BM3 tune makes the MPE sound much different than when I was stock with just the MPE and I understand that you're under warranty but I did the same while I was under warranty with no issue and my N55 has been solid even in its out of warranty days. I'm personally not a fan of resonator deletes and I'm glad that I didn't do it for mine as my current set has me enjoying the music manually shifting and hearing the car gurgle every time is still intoxicatingly good to my ears till this very day. Just my 2 cents but I'd suggest not making price the only determining factor in your decision. |

Factory M2 muffler if you don't mind cutting your bumper and saving some $$$. I got mine for $200 used.
If too brash for you, you can add a good aftermarket resonator afterwards for around $80 |
