no way man! V8 M5 - last thing you can say about this car is that its lacking character. What a fantastic machine. I know V10 was truly bonkers , allowing you to rev it like nuts but V8 is just a sweet spot between old generation of sport cars and new generation of electric/hybrid/assisted sh1t cars.

I am officially an Audi fanboy now but love M's and happy for every folk owning or waiting for one.

S8 Plus roll on!!

I like the S8 but find it a bit small for the UK roads

My mate works at the imperial car warehouse in Eastleigh prepping cars, hes had 3 M5's in this week!

Speaking as someone who has an E60 M5 that once had a bitch of a VANOS issue, yes they can be expensive when they go wrong.
If you take care of them however they can handle track days without so much as a warning light flicking on.

Servicing costs are reasonable and what you would expect. Even the 10w60 oil is in the same ballpark as run of the mill 5w30.
