Evening all

Has anyone come across the following error when trying to code using e-sys?

I can't see I'm doing anything differently from normal, but when I try and read from VCM (was hoping to code the start-stop) I get this pop up:

Use "Read ECU" instead of "Read SVT".

Maybe someone here can help me. I have a bmw f34 328i from 2014 with nbt from factory, i did a retrofit of base plate (with option antenna, usb, and video) for snap-in(connect version for iphone 5). I connected everything according to bmw wiring diagram, coded 6nh to 6ns to have EBT. Do you need to add other optioncodes then 6ns?

But when i connect phone to the snap-in it only charges and does nothing further, in the i drive it say not connected. Further i disconnected the usb cable from snap-in and connect just an usb connector and once i do this my usb1 disconnects to so i have none.

This make me think its just a coding problem but what is it or is it something else

You're not gonna tell met that there is no one but me that has this problem and no one knows how to fix it!!!!!

Alright friends - Help is appreciated here. Looking for EBT, but mainly activating the 2nd USB port in the glovebox.

I have a '15 Pre-LCI NBT HU w ProNav, 6AC, 6AE, 6NH.

Do I just follow Post #1? If not post #1, could someone point me in the right direction?

Car with factory NBT should not have a Glovebox USB Port, only Center Arrest USB Port.

Hmmm well it does! Haha (I’m the 2nd owner)

It charges an iPhone fine but doesn’t show up as selectable in the External Media options. Can it be used/activated/etc?

Strange, my second USB didn't need EBT to work for media!

So just follow the first post and change 6NH to 6NS

Thank you both, I'll code to 6NS and hopefully the option becomes available. I checked and the cable definitely runs from the USB port to the back of the unit.

Ahhhh! That must be it! So the port will turn on when EBT/6NS is activated? Hopefully?

Yes I should think so, as I say I didn't need to on my NBT EVO hu, but maybe NBT hu is different.

Hi guys

I'm new here and would like to enable office menu in Idrive. Car is F34 2015 with business navigation and black plastic combox in the boot.

First, I need e-net cable (have one old OBD connector and will solder the cable)

Very simple question and I hope a very simple answer.
In the past I have always had X5 and done my own coding, Now I have an F31 with quite a decent spec but want to put my own stamp on it, I have been reading quite a lot of what is available etc, BUT when starting E-Sys launcher (Which is new to me) It ask me to select Car series So here goes I assume I need to select F031 yet I have seen posts where F020 is instructed to be selected?
Am I correct in assuming that the F031 is selected in "Launcher" but if not using launcher ie in E-Sys then F020 is selected?

Yes in the free launcher you select the actual model, As you can only change the model once every three days to prevent it from being used commercially.
