Big Turbo Upgrade
Anyone here running a big turbo?
I have a DP, FMIC, CP, FMIC, and JB4. If I upgrade to a big turbo, would I need to upgrade more of the internals to safely run the big turbo? Does anyone know what the approximate power increase is from stock to big turbo? TY! |

You can pick up some power with just a turbo upgrade on the same tune, but that said, I wouldn't run a big turbo on the JB4, I would at least get a good OTS flash tune if not a full custom dyno tune. Personally, if you don't want to do forged internals and really build the car for high HP (350+) MHI is a great option. Comes complete with a manifold, EWG and new turbo. It's not that big, but is rated for 32psi. The better flow rate and air volume it can deal with will pick up power. If you keep boost reasonable, under 23psi, you're not risking any engine damage, or at least not any more than you would be on the stock turbo with comparable pressures.

Depends on how aggressive you choose to go and which turbo you get.
I recommend Pure Turbo
