I'm about to order the arc8s .. just a question of what I can fit on the f30. I want to run 18s square as wide as I can..

Ideally .. 18x9 arc8 et30 (the concave one) with PSS 255/40/18 square.

I am not opposed to camber plates, coilovers, or spacers. If those will poke out and rub on the fenders, perhaps the non concave is a better idea. I'm getting mixed reports of 255s up front rubbing or not.

There should be a 'go to setup' that everyone runs but there isn't! What can I fit square 18s arc8.... Help thanks

actually 17s might even be the way to go, but then there's the brakes. They'd fit over the stock calipers ... which I may swap... errrg

18x9 +30 arc-8 with 255/40/18 will poke a bit. you definitely do not need spacers. additional negative camber maybe be needed. there is possibility of rubbing the front fenderwell liner in turns also depending on the brand/model of tire(those with square shoulders). 513m front wheels have almost the same specs as the 18x9 +30 arc-8. please see the links below.

Thanks for your help. I think I've accepted the fact that the concave face just isn't going to work right now. It's better to choose the better fitting wheel over the better looking wheel. It sucks, but the flat ones will still look really good. To me, the arc8s are the only style wheels that belong on this car.

It looks like I'm going to go with the 18x8.5 ET38 .. with PSS 255/40/18. Overall it seems like a comfortable setup. 245s may be a better option in some ways, but I don't like how they are shorter and would give more wheel gap when switching from the stock winter setup (225/45/18). I figure the bulge should be slight. If for some reason they do rub (I don't think so) or the bulge bothers me it's not a big deal to swap the tires out for 245s and sell the 255s off. Selling four ill fitting wheels is another story...

I looked hard at the hyper black but have decided on the anthracite finish - can't go wrong with that on a black car. The hyper black is maybe just a hair too shiny in certain light and I've never seen it in person.

It has been so hard to figure out wheels on every car I've owned...

Any pictures of the 19x9.5’s on your car??

I am considering Apex ARC-8 for my F31 and ideally want to run 19” with the following

Front: 8.5 ET20 (or it not possible, the 8.5 ET35)

Rear: 9.5 ET33

Do people have any experience with these fitments as I want a hassle free set up without rubbing. So with that in mind, tyre sizes would most likely be 225/40/19 front & 255/35/19 rear.

I wouldn't say mine are that aggressive, but I am running 18x8.5 et35 up front and 18x9 et30 in the rear with my ARC8s. I have 245/40s and 275/35 F/R tires for them. I think 18x9 et30 in the front wouldn't be that bad but it may rub if not having camber plates. Overall I'm happy with my setup but I wish I did 45/40 series tires F/R for more meat.

Thank you, these look great! Also anyone know if F32 is different in terms of space available? Are they easier to run the concave faces than the F30s are?

Do have a picture from behind to see if those 275 poke? No spacer or anything right? 275 on 9" doesn't look that bad. Trying to get a rear set 18x9 or 18x9.5 to put some drag tires 275/40/18.

Sorry i don't have any direct rear shots. I'd say it sits about flush if not poke out about 1-2mm nothing crazy. I'm also on stock suspension.

the Revival!!

Hey guys any updates on this subject. I'm also wanting to run the Apex ARC-8 18x9 ET30 square setup with maybe a 255/40. I want my car to be on the mildly aggressive side without having to pull fenders or buy camber plates right away. I'm not opposed to them in the future but buying wheels and tires is enough money out of the bank account at once for me lol. Did anyone manage to pull this setup off yet? I see people saying on here that the offset is low for the front but all the guys running the 437m wheels which are 19x9 et29 are not seeming to have a problem.

Those et30 ones look so good don't they. It's too bad...

With 8.5 et38 lowered well (not slammed like an idiot) I have about 2mm clearance from the strut and about 4mm to the fender. I may add a 3mm spacer to flush it out, but I don't really want to get into spacers.

I can't imagine et30 not sticking out of the fender up front. Feel free to try though and let us know

Oh yes they do!!

What size tires are you running? I feel like I can can get it done based off the math. I've seen people run lower offsets on much bigger wheels. I don't want to run spacers, I don't want to be slammed either. I want a meaty mildly aggressive setup, but functional. I saw the OP posted the same car everyone is trying to mimic but with a wider wheels and no spacers but no one wants to go first! Lol!

255/40/18 pilot super sports which are maybe a bit more stout than other tires of the same size.

I don't think 8.5 et30 can fit in the fender without poking. It's a simple static measurement problem .. you can get a tape measure to check.

I'm wondering the exact same, and trying to run this exact same setup, did you find out for sure yet? I plan on ordering mine late February..

275/35-18 should work just fine out back... MEATY!
It's what I run on a 19x9.5 rt+35. Just a tiny bit of rub over big dips

Wow this looks awesome, exactly what I want to do, although I may go +38 up front. What are you lowered on? Did you have to do any fender rolling/pulling, etc?

Yeah to be honest these might be the best looking wheels on the F30 that I have owned. I’m lowered on H&R sports springs, my rear fenders have been rolled for some time now, I’m sure there won’t be any rubbing issues even without the fenders rolled.

Fitment Help

Hey sorry to restart this old thread. Just got my F30 335i and I'm interested in running the 17x9 et30 and saw that a member was running 18x9 et42 but with 10mm/12 spacers so I think the effective offset would be the same.

I didn't read anywhere that the member required any sort of camber so I'm hesitant to order. I'm lowered on HR springs with stock staggered set up 225/45/18 255/40/18. If I am able to do the 17x9 et 30 I will size down to 245/40 square.

Thanks in advance!

245/40-17 is way too short for F30.

24.7" vs. 26" which is the OEM tire size.

You can do 17's without issue if you have standard brakes. ie, no M Performance brakes.

I'm pretty hyped I just got a set of Arc-8's 18x9.5 et35 to replace my EC-7's 18x9 et31.

Nothing beats a meat flush look with concave wheels.

Sorry I must have mistyped. Would 245/45 work?

Thanks
