by any chance do you have a picture of your fabrication adaptor part... how do I explain to muffler shop what exactly it is that I need... like I explained them the situation but they said to send all details thar are necessary - eg dimensions measurements etc.... please send me the details that you would use for yours and I will see if the same thing applies to me... thank you

I just got mine done, my shop welded mine which I was fine with for 75 bucks. We noticed that the tips did not line up evenly, the right tip is inwards, and the left tip stuck out a bit. After trying different ways to getting them to line up, I told them to just bolt it up to the stock position, and I'll order some 3.5 tips to weld on so everything can be even.
I am very happy with the sound as I get that V6 sound I used to get out of my e90. The only thing I am wondering about is, I am hearing a blow off valve type sound when revving, but from what Ive read, our cars dont have a blow off valve, so is this sound normal or could there be something wrong with the weld?

The muffler will have nothing to do with the noise of the diverter (blow off) valve makes. You can definitely here it regardless, its just not very loud. |

On another note, my gas mileage has been terrible because I've been purposely building boost lol...The sound is music to my ears.

Correct, however you can still hear the recirculation of the air through the plumbing of the intake (not nearly as loud as an open atmosphere type)

hi guys... finally got the job done on my 428i ! loving it!! will post pics soon.... the only difference now that I don't like between a 435i and the 428i with 435i MPE is that if you really had a 435i the second exhaust opens up momentarily after starting the car and I have seen this on the F30 335i as well.. but on the 428i the second exhaust even after conversion is mostly closed... is there a way to leave the valve continuously open? as it sounds much better with both exhausts open... best regards

I had something slightly different done to my 2013 328i M Sport. I installed the Magnaflow 328i #15161 cat back dual exhaust system originally but later replaced just the muffler of the 335i #15271 system in order to split the exhaust and use the 335i matte black diffuser. I like the deeper tone of the Magnaflow personally. This did require a few minor customizations from the local muffler shop and purchase of larger chrome tips. So far so good.
