So I went with 435i, for what it's worth I got a 2 year limited warranty from the dealer which he said should be good at any Ford or BMW dealership. So far I'm in love with the car. Already put close to 600 miles on it, so far no issues.

Cheers!!
Congrats! I'm also a 435 M-Sport owner...great cars, with a surprising amount of cargo room, too...I often carry two mountain bikes in the back without issue whatsoever. (Front wheels and pedals removed).

Enjoy!

Things like upgraded sound system I'm told is a must for most, and pro nav is worth it too.
Get a copy of the sales brochure for that year and have a look
This! I got lucky and got a out of state 2016 340i m sport with under 40k miles for $23,000, optioned out and everything. I had no idea about the engine or anything. I was honestly looking for a new car as my daily. Never owned a bmw before. Almost a year and a half later, I gotta say I got lucky on owning the B58 platform, super reliable, the ease of tuning is mind blowing. If I could do it over again knowing what I know now..... I’d make the exact same decision.

Is there a way to learn how both cars were driven and maintenance history? I'd say these two factors are even more important than the engines.
I'm the opposite, I prefer N55 by far to the B58, if you work on your car, N55 is a must, you can't get to anything on the reverse mounted B58, a 5 min job of vanos turns into 2 days of moving the engine, ya no thanks.

Like what? Besides longer doors, and more blindspots?

Get the 340, just bought one for myself and it's amazing.

If you aren't sure, test drive them both!
