@Jason you mentioned earlier that "M3/M4 don't get LCI, will continue until EOP of the corresponding F3x body style...."

Does anyone understand the story behind the change in numbering? Will the 640 become a 645?

It corresponds to the change in horsepower that is expected with the new engine. The N54 to N55 did not receive a change because BMW kept the same quoted 300hp. The 340i is expected to produce 340-360hp.

Looks like I'm holding off an ordering a 340i M-Sport now... And I guess I'm a sucker since I'll pay $1,900 for the Lighting Package

Traditionally, M cars get most LCI upgrades while keeping the original production code. So, on paper there's no "M LCI", while in fact new parts go into the cars as they become available on the non-M counterparts.

Possibly. We already know G11 will have touchscreen iDrive, and BMW pushes the same iDrive hardware into all its models virtually at the same time.

Or you can also go and take your whining off of an unrelated f30 thread. You want to complain about the M4, I'm sure you can find somewhere related to do so.

Hopefully they change the headlight and grille integration to look more like the 4 series. I've always thought the F80's looked kind of sloppy.

Honestly my F82 low beams cause people to stop, brake-check me, and then aggressively turn their brights on thinking I have mine on. They seem 10x brighter than other cars (our 2013 Honda included). I'm very happy with them, and they will still be much better than most cars for years to come.

There will always be future improvements. There is no point in sour grapes.

Enough said

They must do some important updates as their rivals play hard too (new C400 and a new A4 is almost ready to be released).

Don't expect the LCI to do anything to bring the F30 anywhere close to what the C-Class offers - this is only going to refresh the exterior while maintaining the interior. We're stuck with the current design of the F30 for the next 4 years or so.

Damn, those new LED tails look nice. I'll be damned if I waste the money to put them on my lease.

If its true that LED is now the option and Xenon is standard then I will be both happy and angry. Happy because I've said from the beginning that BMW should stop cheating out and make Xenon standard with LED as the option but pissed because I have the halogens

There usually are minor interior changes on LCI. On the E90 the cupholder trim and start/stop button are two things that most people will actually pay to retrofit into their pre-lci cars.

What are you talking about? I believe the F80/F82 have the same front headlight/grill design which is from the 4. Kinda like how the E90/E92 M had the same headlight/grills as the regular E92 generation.

In any case, the new headlight/grill design will probably look more so like the 4 series than ever (if not exactly the same) especially because the option of LED headlights. One thing I noticed in those pictures though, the turn signal appears to flash at the top eyebrow (like F10 LCI w/ LED) vs. 4 series LED that have turn signals flash at the sides of the headlights.

Actually there will be a slight refreshing of the interior , nothing major as customers are happy with the layout and ergonomics. There will be updated trims and additional details in the refresh.

The main adjustment to the worlds best premium sedan will be new engines and adjustments to the steering as well as modern updated technology and a Plug in Hybrid Drive 330e.
In order to keep the 3er as the benchmark in the segment.

In regards to the C-Klasse. Whilst it may look like an S-Klasse the key difference from an S-Klasse is that the metal details might be metal in the S-Klasse , they are not in the C-Klasse.

Great for those looking at 2016s.
+1. I don't get it. Led tails not being on a 40 to 50+k car is disgraceful. Years ago these lights were promoted as a safety feature by some since they illuminate effectively instantaneously and get someone behind you an additional 100ms heads up in a panic stop.
