About 12 hours away from the first dyno run. So excited!

Baseline Results are in...

Atmospherics:
81 degrees F
48% humidity

Testing:
Sport+ in manual mode
These three runs were done in 4th gear

Best run (was the first of the three and represents what peak performance is without heat soak) resulted in 212.30 whp and 257.60 lb-ft.

Accounting for the conservative driveline parasitic loss I referred to above (15.9%) the crank numbers calculate out to 252.44 hp and 306.30 lb-ft. This seems a bit high, however, though the graph said (uncorrected) I confirmed with the dynographer that the numbers were indeed accounting for temperature, humidity, altitude and barometric pressure. The only mod I left on the car the K&N drop-in filter.

This is higher than I expected, so rather than cherry pick, let's take the average of the three runs...212.53 whp and 237.13 lb-ft. Accounting for losses, that is 252.71 hp and 281.96 lb-ft.

Though I am still skeptical about the mathematics due to the number of variables being considered, at the very least, once we get the next round of data, we can extrapolate a pretty accurate accounting of the benefits of the JB+. Stay tuned.

Yup, these are without the JB+. Next Friday is the run with JB+ turned to max.

To clarify, this is "stock" with only the air filter as the difference, correct?

My car hit 228rwhp/257tq bone stock in triple digit temps and heat soaked. Shocked it's showing lower.

No two engines...

I don't know if I am shocked. Dyno numbers are horrifically subjective and cannot be compared across mutliple dynos. What this number represents is the baseline for my engine on this particular dyno. If I took my car to your location and tested on that dyno, the outcome would be different and very well could be higher or lower. The point of this was never to compare to other dyno results, rather to get an accurate baseline for my particular car on this specific dyno for the purpose of comparing to when the JB+ is installed and set to max. Not discounting your comment, but unless you brought your car to this exact dyno, then it would be nearly impossible to compare the data with any kind of accuracy.

Really solid numbers for a stock car. Thanks for taking the time to make this thread and go out and dyno yourself. Looking forward to the JB+ numbers

I’m running the Dinantronics Sport module (similar single plug-intercept device) and running in “race” mode with +4psi. Looking forward to your results!

Should be about the same as what N26Ghost gets with his JB+. Too bad we have to wait another week lol

Can you have them change the correction factor to SAE instead of STD? SAE is the more commonly used correction factor. It doesn’t really matter, since it’s just a base line, but it should make it more inline with other dynos.

Correct. A dyno is simply a tuning tool. A dyno operator can make the numbers read whatever he wants. DA, temp, etc will always make it vary. The goal is to get a baseline on the same dyno and see the gains after mods.

What he said ^. N26Ghost's testing should give us a really good idea of what the JB+'s performance/power benefits really are, and if I'm not mistaken that was his goal all along.

There was a giant fan in front of the car which you can hear at the beginning of the video, but the hood did remain closed for all runs.
