N2x 1/4 Mile Database and Ranking
Hey folks, This thread is to serve as a continuation of this thread: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1488438 as the OP of that thread, unfortunately, got banned, thus preventing it from being updated. However, I didn't want to let the thread die, and I'm sure you all didn't either, so I've made up the chart myself and posted it here so it can continue to be updated. I believe the chart is completely updated with all the entries we've gotten, but I'm hoping we can expand it even more! I'll continue to be active on here and update the thread with any new entries we get, so go out to your local 1/4 mile strip and make some runs! I would love to make this a 50+ entry board! Sidenote: the rankings are purely for organization's sake, so do not be afraid to run just because you won't make the Top 5. Get out there and get some numbers so we can have a broader understanding of how these cars, though they are certainly not drag cars, perform at the strip.

Well thanks for the quick catch on this. Not to veer this thread off topic on the first post...but do we have any idea why spade was banned? He wasn't exactly a drama starter.
Side note: I want to get one more stg1 run in before going stg2, hopefully this following Thursday!

But, now that it's out there: I agree, don't want this thread to get off topic, so hopefully we can stick to drag racing and discussion about that I would've asked too, so thank you for bringing it up early so it's out of the way lol. Looking forward to your next runs, good luck!

Went back to Bradenton Motorsports Park last night. From Draggy DA Calc - Density Altitude: 102 feet
Relative Density: 99.7 % My first run was a "hot" lap, got right into the lanes after an hour long drive from work. I had added a 20% boost reduction in 1st and 10% in 2nd. The first time I ran stg1 at this track I spun quite a bit but quickly realized the track was prepped much better this time to I removed all reduction on the following runs. All in all, I'd call it a success. STG1, 93 oct my best was a 13.56. May have done even better if I could get the 60 down to a 1.8 but couldn't quite get there.

Anyway, seems pretty much right on par with what we would expect with stage 1. I think you might have a bit of room to improve the 60', but you've pretty much matched my own 60' times when I was on stage 1, and I have AWD, so I'd say you did pretty darn well Board is updated.

Alternatively, you could probably find a cheap set of wheels and throw some tires on them if you plan to go to the track a few times a year.

Yep, that's what I had in mind And yah I'm sure theres a way to do it in the chart which would be ideal, but I'm not computer savvy enough to know how lol

That being said, I'll see if I can give you a run for your money once Cary finishes up my tune and I get some decent conditions.

I'd love to see someone break it as well, and I know there's N20 cars on this forum that can for sure. Would love for them to get out. Probably not me though, at least not right now

So in reality, the only thing that would stop me from matching or beating that time would be the conditions. Considering I am in Florida and good DA opportunities are likely gone until next winter...it might not be until December that I get the chance though.

Not custom... just JB4 with Map 7 Why can’t this be a competition? We are literally making a list of the fastest time on the 1/4 mile. Unless we give everyone a trophy. My best 60ft ever was 1.7 seconds. A fluke but I’m normally in between a 1.8 and 2.0 on run flat tires. My life isn’t better for having a 12.8 time. Nor do I care for internet cred. If anything, it’s annoying cause I get asked endlessly about my setup. You can have my exact setup but I spend so much time logging my car and obsessing over it’s performance. When BM3 came out, I was excited to see how many cars would be in the 12’s. So many claims about having more power but no fast times. Some out there with built motors and still run a 13.1 .... I want to see a faster time with someone on BM3. When that day comes, I’ll get BM3 and beat their time lol |

It shouldn't be framed as a competition because then no one with stock or lightly modified cars will bother posting their times, as they will not be competitive. I think sspade (btw, you can have your thread back , unless you want to keep it here, up to you) started the thread for information gathering and for data, not for competition, and I agree. I'm the last guy to support participation trophies, that's not the intent of the structure as non-competitive, it's so every one contributes data without worrying about whether they'll be competitive. In an analogy: if you're trying to collect data on the average person's 100m sprint time, you're not going to say "let's see who the fastest runner is, get out here and compete!" because all the average Joe's won't be participating, because they'll have no shot at winning. I hope that makes sense.

idk about you guys but im in it all for competition lol
i dont want any tropy. Everytime i see a good run/time it encourages me that I can do it too.Thats what makes me keep going and thats why i will have to try Bm3. I will likely make a comparsion between the two and with both of them together. |
