No one makes a higher quality, better fitting chargepipe than Evolution Racewerks. You don't want the hassle or repair expense to troubleshoot a leak.

Replace your o-rings for the same reason. See photo. Intercooler connection o-rings are directional and will leak if installed backwards. See photo.

Hope this helps!

Just remember, if you value your time and appreciate good quality, stay away from VRSF. I don't think the hate VRSF gets here is completely warranted, though. Brands like that can be fine for people who are comfortable taking time to make things work and just want to save money.

I borrowed that slide from someone long ago who wrote WD-40 on it. I personally wouldn't use WD40. Maybe a finger dipped in fresh motor oil to provide a thin coating, like I do when replaced a stand-alone oil filter with a new gasket on it

I have yet to purchase my FBO but from I have read and seen, Evolution Racewerks is the best bet.

My only experience has been with CTS Turbo charge pipe and it was perfect.

I have a VRSF CP it's alright, I wish it was all once piece but I don't think it's possible.

Just got one of these myself! Waiting for some time to do the install. I have a hard time believing ER is worth twice the price of Cts or burger pipes.

IMO installing a solid aluminum one piece N55 chargepipe would be a bear. Also the two piece has the rubber sleeve which probably takes care of the excess vibration from the 90 degree bend that contributes to the one piece plastic pipe breaking.

FYI- if you read various BMW forums over time the BMW N55 chargepipe from Evolution Racewerks gets consistently great reviews for quality and for excellent fitment. Evolution Racewerks is a USA company with all of the manufacturing and quality control done here.

Yes, there are all kinds of cheaper knock offs being sold that are made in Asia. IMO it's obvious from reading forums that their quality control and materials are suspect. One forum guy will post great things, and the next guy will post about nightmares with the same part on the same model car.

It's critical, especially for a modded N55 engine, that the chargepipe perform flawlessly. It's cheap insurance for me to install the best CP that I can find in the Evolution Racewerks, and I'm glad that it happens to be American made too. Can't say that about too many products these days. I'm glad to be able to support an American company that makes the best products right here.

I don't have excess money to throw around but I have also been burned a couple times. Sometimes you buy Walmart ketchup telling yourself that only suckers buy Heinz ketchup. But then you try the cheap stuff and you really really wish that you had bought Heinz.
