Mine was leaking oil around 46k mileage. My local indy shop did it for 450 (parts + labor)

65k. Recently bought a 435i. Replaced valve, ofhg and its crazy that people pay more than 200 to get this done (ofhg).

If your engine failed after OFHG replacement because it ran without full pressure for a second or two that means your engine was on the way out soon anyways.. lmaooo

Dealer quoted me just over $1k for the job and an indy shop quoted me about $950 for the job. Probably well worth just doing myself and taking my time. The oil filter housing gasket wasn't really hard and saved me just under $1000 as well.

Did you find a shop to do it for anything less than $500 each? I think although the dealer is insanely high many indy shops from what I see are charging rates nearly as high. Clearly a DIY project but if you are paying for the job I would be shocked to find a place to do it for anything less than $500.
