Winter Tire Question

Sorry if this has been asked before, i ran multiple searches looking to see if there were any previous threads but came up empty. Im looking to buy an all season or winter tire for my 403m wheels, there are really limited options at the stock tire size for winters. Does anyone know if a 225-45-19 and 255-40-19 tire would fit or cause issues? I know the diameter difference is less than %1 but would there be an issue with the added sidewall? Car is stock height for now btw

I would also prefer to not buy wheels at this time, im trying to hold off on that until spring to get a nice summer set.

Appreciate the help!

Those sizes are meant for the F10 platform. they are too tall. stock is 26" while your sizes you are looking at are 26.93".

You may experience clearance issues with the fender well and the top of the strut. more than likely at full lock you will rub in the front.

I would honestly recommend picking up some cheap 18x8s and run a 225/45/18 winter tire. sticking with the 19s you are saving a whopping $600 by not buying new wheels and tires. $600 over a few winters is nothing. breaks down to $35 a month if you run them for 5-6 months a year for 3 years. skip the starbucks twice a week for a month and you've got your extra $35/month.

you can easily sell those 403M wheels to anyone whos looking for them to offset the cost.

i appreciate the info! Guess i'll stick to the Keurig and save myself that $35 a month and post the 403ms for sale.

Thanks!

No Problem. Check the classifieds for some winter sets. even craigslist has a bunch im sure. Be sure to get TPMS as well. Tire rack does moda and some other cheap 5 spoke wheels in 18s for like $100 each. The other benefit of 18s is that the tires are cheaper with more options. I picked up my TPMS sensors off ebay for $150 from RG Sport (https://www.ebay.com/itm/BERU-HUF-TP...EAAOSwNypZ5Rlz)

Just email them the last 7 of VIN for the correct ones.
