Thanks Shawn.
Over the weekend I have built up cable, install all necessary SW, followed instructions and it’s working Now I see SMS on Idrive. I hope that someday I will also be able to help somebody as you helped me. |

E-Sys, psdzdata files & install/coding guides
Hi all,
Delving into guides already ahead of collecting my late 2014 build 435I coupe, providing inspection gets a thumbs up from me. First BMW! Great specs, aside from a small 6.5" screen. Listed options has 6NS (enhanced bluetooth) and OPT 606 BMW Nav. This seems to be the business nav known as "headunit_entrynav"? A note sent by the BMW Genius was: "BT audio streaming only standard from WK27 July/WK 32 Aug 2014 builds" + External dialogue after long press" Which ties up with people here mentioning Post august 2014. @shawnsheridan In a rush a few days ago, I may have followed a old guide with only a 3gb psdzdata zip file. Could I get some instructions with full software please? I would also like to read fault codes on the vehicle I will be inspecting, is this doable with ESys? Have a E-Sys Launcher Premium, which then Launches E-Sys 3.27.1... Purchased this cable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ENET-OBDII-...bmw+enet+cable Not my first time using a OBD diagnosis/coding tool, but it's UX is a lot more expansive than my previous vehicles manufacturer! Many thanks. |

PM sent. You can use E-Sys 3.28.1, although it has some issues. E-Sys 3.27.1 is a better option.

I have a 2014 F34. I set this to 1hr with eSys, and it still reset at 4hr. It remained like this for a couple years. Then recently, the dealership recoded my car and flashed a newer version to fix a trunk problem, and wiped everything out. So, this time, I used Bimmercode to set it to 1hr, and now it doesn't reset. The time my trip started has been stuck at 5:24pm for a few days. I tried setting it to "every ride" and it still won't reset. Is it possible that choosing anything other than 4hr will give me errors? Has anyone set this to something other than 4hr with success? What model vehicle was it on? Thanks |

It's been a few years since I've done this, so I might be missing something obvious, but I can't get E-Sys launcher to recognize my E-Sys installation. The location field is blank.
I have E-Sys 3.27.1 installed, v4.12.41 of the PSdZ files in the right folder, and v2.8.0 of the E-Sys launcher. When I launch the E-Sys program directly, it is able to launch, so I'm pretty sure that installation is correct. |
