Hey, so I recently installed a ambient light system from Ali Express and for the 12V power supply I piggybacked off of the existing ambient light power source. Everything works great but now I’m running into the issue where they won’t turn on during the day cause the ambient lights are linked to the headlights being on and off. My question is is there any way to code the car to where the ambient light power is decoupled from the headlights so that these lights can be on during the day? I appreciate any help

The curtesy lights (door handels) are powered from the FEM A173*B9 pin 52. The light in switches etc. are FEM A173*B9 pin 53. The foodwell lights are color 1, A173*B9 pin 50 and color 2 is pin 51

I’m not that well versed in the electrical part of all this but I am trying to figure out if there is a way, through like bimmercode or some other utility, to make the ambient lights in the car already to always stay on. I’ll attach a picture of where I get my power from but the goal is to make that stay on in the daytime too and decouple it from the headlights.

OK, see what you are doing. The two white wires wit color stribes are from pin 50 and 51 on the FEM.
There should be ways to programme the FEM light- I have not worked with that so other assistance from net. |
