I have Phillips hue's at home and absolutely love the colors and capabilities of them, so I decided to get some led lights for the interior of my f30. Outside would be too ricey imo, but inside is subtle and pretty cool. They definitely add a cool effect for night time. I was able to seamlessly install them within a few minutes. The pics don't do justice because I have the blue as like an ice blue.

FWIW using blue lights reduces your night vision. Red or orange is better. That's why the dash lights are red or orange.

Orange is just ugly, even though it might be better at night. I replaced my entire interior to white LEDs

What led strips did you use? You hook it up to the original ambient lighting, so you can control them through iDrive?

Looks good! I have blue interior ambient lighting as well (aftermarket). The blue looks great at night! All you have to do is dim the brightness so it's not super bright and your night vision is fine.

Great job, OP. The lights make the car look like a UFO. I got some led strip light for my old Ford too. Whenever I drive through the night, I feel like Ryan Gosling in Drive or like I’m a hero in one of the new Nicolas Winding Refn movies.
I also wanted to install some from the outside but considered it too much. The sole difference with your LEDs is that mine are purple. But, I believe I can change the colors using the remote control. I will try it, but not sure if I’m going to use another color – purple is my favorite.
PS. The only minus is that the dirt on the car floor is seen much better with these lights…

Lmao. I'm pretty sure you're being sarcastic… just fyi Someones opinion with 0 rep doesn't matter. It's actually really good at night cause I can turn them on or off along with change the color. and it's nice when I or a passenger drops something. I don't have to pull over for them to find it.
