Still abit confused. So, correct me if i am wrong. Base 335 stock, msport blue and M car all have the same calipers and brake pads? Different only rotor either 340mm or 370mm?

Mine is 335 stock 4 pots with 340mm rotor. Is it possible to change the rotor only to 370mm? Is there any 2 pieces 340mm rotor replacement?

Thanks.

I hope this isn't the wrong place for this but when I ran my VIN through the BMW Electronic Parts Catalogue, it says the replacement brakes for my car are M Performance brakes...I simply have a 335i XDrive Sport Line...thoughts?

Garage List
oceanview My car finally arrived at the dealership and I saw it yesterday; I can confirm that it has 340mm rotors up front as well. It's a 2015 428i GC Sport Line /w M Sport Brakes (2NH/S2NHA - it's the same thing for those who think otherwise).

Unfortunately, I didn't drive it and I can't take delivery for another 1.5 weeks due to a business trip

I just went through every post on this thread. Sounds to me the breaking performance between 435i M-Sport Standard brakes and M-Sport blue calipers brakes ($650 option with 19" wheels) is the same.

Can someone comment on this?

Well as I wrote here: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...9&postcount=43
same applies for the S2NHA Option with 370mm rotor in front.

The BIG difference however is weight!
370mm Rotor of S2NHA = 16.5 Kilogramms
370mm Rotor of MPerformance Brake = 11.8 Kilogramms
So unsprung mass is about 25% less.

So what's the conclusion, will the 370mm rotor fit the default 335i 4-piston caliper or not? The Turner page did not give a clear answer to this question.

That's a really interesting table!!! Many compliments!
Yes, the weight is much lighter for the front M Performance rotore instead of M Sport! Almost 5kg less for each wheel!!!
It's only strange that in the rear rotors there's an improvement of only 0,4kg for each wheel... Maybe different materials?

Just in case anyone knows, does the OEM Bembo/M-Sport Brake package come with Goodridge braided brake lines same as a retail Brembo set would? Or is it purely a caliper upgrade with standard hoses?

Modern kevlar reinforced lines leave nothing to be desired from steel braided IMO.

Update: it's an error in the table. I measured the weight by myself and on the front rotors the improvement is the same of the rear ones... 5kg less, as a matter of fact, is simply IMPOSSIBLE!

I took the weight info from various Internet informations. Unfortunatelly they are possibly wrong, I agree. But I had no other correct source

If you can tell me what weight you messured and for which rotor please, so I will put that into my table.

Does anyone know what aftermarket pads are there available for the M Sport S2NHA brakes? The only other pads that I can seem find are porterfield's.
