Minor scratch fix??

Hi guys, so my job gave me an all week pass to the Barrett-Jackson going on for the rest of the week here in AZ..

Unfortunately the "parking" is on a bunch of dirt and rocks and as I was reversing there was a huge rock that I couldn't see and it scraped the bottom of my diffuser and a bit on the paint.

I've order a new diffuser so that's taken care of.

As far as the ding, it's really small and unnoticeable. How should I go about fixing this?

You can see the pics attached.

Thanks!

It's not that simple. To get it looking right it will have to be filled and sanded, then painted, sanded and compounded. It's not difficult if you're an experienced body man, if not it's best to have one do it.

that stinks. You def want to go thru the right procedure if you're going to fill it.

I'm assuming any body shop, bumper repair, paint repair can get the job done.. now it's a matter of finding a shop in Arizona!

If anyone is local to the Phoenix area and have some info would be helpful

Unfortunately I do not . I was actually lucky to get one. I work for Penske and I guess they send out passes to top spenders and have a limited supply for employees!

I would suggest long term indeed you have the body shop fix. Meanwhile, I think you might feel better by cleaning that section and touching up with the paint kit you referred (you should have that kit all along anyways as it will help you with rock chips, etc).

Personally, I rather hand touch it up so it's not noticeable until the body shop.

That could make the job more difficult for the shop. They'll use a special filler made for filling the plastic of the bumper. If he paints it the shop will probably have to do more work to get down to bare plastic for the filler to adhere.

For the color, you might try dr color chip.
There are a lot of youtube videos teaching people how to use it. (Touch up paint)
And you need stuff like sand papers, compound, polish, wax etc....
total might cost around <$100 usd
