[In case anyone else is wondering …]
No, unfortunately not, they are only in seats from cars with the optional heated seats. To fit the heating pads means dismantling the seats, removing the leather, gluing the pads onto the foam, then refitting the leather. And then fitting the control boxes under the seats. The easiest way to do this is to buy secondhand seats that have the options you want, and install the wiring to get them working. |

I'm currently looking into doing this in an F26 X4. I have the head unit installed next is seat elements. From what I understand it should be leather, seat elements and then insulating mat. Also, I'm not seeing a different seat module for heated and curious if I just plug the elements in an then do some coding. I'm not seeing anything about additional wiring harnesses.

I have heated seats with electric sides bolsters, and wondering how hard it would be to wire up the heated seats, I've fitted the correct climate control unit, Was hoping the wiring was there but the heated seat controls do nothing as they are, please can you help? |

I have just found this thread which made me go out and look under the passenger seat on my 2018 F31. There is a yellow box with wires going into it under that seat but the car has no heated seats. It does have a switch on the side which makes the sides of the backrest go in and out.
Wonder what the yellow box is, anyone know? How would I know if there are heater mats in there? |
