Decent spec - overpriced?

Even though I only purchased my 335 back in September I'm always looking to see what's out there. I came across the following which has a great spec, not much missing as far as I can tell.

https://www.georgekingsley.co.uk/use...MNW2nGU5h7JmxQ

Even so it strikes me as priced high for a '66 plate car, anyone else?

It does seem expensive, I wouldn’t give £25 with that interior. That cuts down your resale straight away spec or no spec.

My car has very similar spec apart from pan roof and posh leather, I paid £19750 for mine with 29k on the clock 2.5 years ago from a BMW dealer in London. It was the same age as this car at the time, ie 4 ish years old.

But, used car prices are very strange at the minute, the have risen circa 10-15% since March last year and they will drop, it’s just when.

I was thinking along the lines of 22k, I don't mind the interior to look at short term, I've seen worse, but as a long term owner I recon I would regret it eventually.

It has full leather to be fair (the dash and doors)

My 435 didnt have it, and my M4 does - and makes a massive difference to the feel of the cabin - more than the pictures show.

That's 2K less than I paid for my F31 340i when it was 2 year old with 8K miles.

OK I don't have extended leather, or pan roof but most of the rest bits, so to me it seems high priced, which could be good news for us if that's the trend for residuals?

Garage List
Also some of the things they have listed as options could have been standard if it is an Msport+ which they haven't clarified

Great spec, but a somewhat 'marmite' colour in both senses.

Interesting what people are saying about prices being inflated at the moment. I’m looking to purchase an F31 in the next month or two and hoped to spend up to about £21k, but doesn’t seem to be many nice ones around at the moment. Spotted this which I would have been really interested in if it had the adaptive dampers (just don’t want to be putting springs on the car as soon as get it).

seems quite steep. That tan interior is certainly an acquired taste - I personally don't think it goes well with a white car

Having just had a quick skim on Autotrader to see what else is out there I have to agree, its not very inspiring at the moment. I did see one in Tanzanite blue with sport kit which caught my eye, but that's about it. price wise the more I look I think I might have been a bit hasty saying the white/caramel car was OTT.

I couldn’t even begin to think about spending that kind of money on that age car from an Indy.

The full merino leather really makes this car quite rare most have rhino hide pleather, the camera is probably over saturating the colour as well, I think it's nice but perhaps a grey/silver car would look better rather than white against the tan.

A quick look at today's Part-Exchange prices tells you the amount you lose as soon as you buy and drive off the forecourt.
Either of the above two cars seems to be roughly £18-19k part ex.

Used car dealers continue to do very well with their mark-up margins because punters are prepared to pay for immediate delivery, premium, well-specced cars at this time.

I bought my 2015 pre-LCI with 30k on it for about that money at the tail end of last summer. It was high money but so well specced that nothing came close to it for the money at the time. Bought from an independent, and the whole process was faultless. I looked at a 1 year newer car from a main dealer but was pretty much poverty spec and higher miles. I decided to buy on condition rather than only looking at MD cars. Each to their own of course!

Very well specced indeed. It's missing active cruise control though.

Marmite interior but I personally love it twinned with the extended leather... makes all the difference. My old 430D had active cruise and extended leather, don't think I've ever seen another 3/4 with both equipped.

Price wise... seems very steep!

There will always be people who are willing to fork out more money to get the exact specs they are after, so if your car is special, you might as well go for a higher price at first.
At 25K I paid a bit extra for mine as it was the only 440i GC I came across for months which had the specs I was after. I didn't even test drive it before buying

335dX - I hear you, I would prefer to buy through a MD, but so overpriced at the moment.

I need to just bide my time and stop looking at cars due to lockdown boredom. Hoping given a couple of months something will come along that suits.

You should have bought my 2017 f31 335d that was up for sale on here last month.

It’s on the bmw AUC website for £24950 now.

Having had an F30 335d with adaptive dampers, to which I subsequently added ACS springs, I think you're better off with passive dampers and fit springs early on. The adaptive ones are prone to making a knocking noise, are seriously expensive to replace, and once you have fitted better springs, they're really not necessary. I pretty much left my dampers in Comfort once the springs were fitted.

I agree, I like that colour of the leather but would be better on a dark colour car

Definitely too expensive I paid 2K more 2 years ago for my f30 which has an individual interior, exterior and most options with only 4K miles. It's a dealers market at the moment though due to the current state of the world.
