F30 328i exhaust conversion (from F36 435i)
Hi everyone,
I know it's been well documented that the exhaust from a 335i can be put onto a 328i with no more than a clamp and dual exit rear diffuser. I'm having a seriously hard time finding a 335i F series exhaust. It's impossible here in the UK. I have found a 435i F36 backbox. Question is, is this the same as the 335i exhaust? I was led to believe by reading certain stuff online that they are? Would it fit in terms of exhaust hanger placement, width between each exhaust tip, etc? I assume the piping diameter will be different just like the 335i to 328i piping. I'm not interested in going after market as that'll be too costly, won't retain the oem valve controller (on cheaper exhausts), and I'm not after a boost in sound/performance. This is purely cosmetic, as well as the appeal being that I'd be using BMW parts and I can swap this out myself on my driveway. Any help or insight is appreciated. Cheers everyone!
