Lowering springs noise

Lowered my 340i xdrive last week on h&r sports and noticed some creaking noise kind of like a noisy hardwood floor when im turning the wheel. This only happens when the car is being parked i.e low speeds under 2-3km/h. Here are some photos, anything look out of line?

I have the same issue. I notice it's worse on colder days. I'm not sure what it is.

This is a common problem, especially with coilovers.

As springs are compressed, like any other springs they want to unwind and rotate, creating what's known as twist force. It's difficult for the spring to rotate and when it does creaking sound can be heard.

To eliminate this sound, the spring should be allowed to rotate. Thrust sheets solve this problem.

Thanks! Do you have a link for this? Would love to show it to my mechanic

Just Google thrust sheets and you will find a lot of material on this topic.

Hmmmm... thrust sheets are a great solution for coil-overs... except the OP is running just lowering springs on the OEM struts... a Google search didn't turn up thrust sheet use with OEM struts.

I will post the link soon. Need to review my archives.

Whether coilovers or lowering springs, the problem is the same.

are your dampers stock? if yes this combination is a death trap. Get bilstein b8 or other sport damper asap. If your dampers are already non stock and sport ones ignore me.

i added lowering springs on stock suspension and 6 months later lost all control in a corner and nearly hit a boulder and could have died.
Shocks were bust hence the slide as traction issues secondary to that.
Replaced them with sporty shocks to go with lowering springs and what a massive difference.

I've ran stock shocks and dampers with lowering springs on my previous E90 for years with no issues. Think you just had a one-off bad experience, but yes it would be ideal to change shocks also but with the amount of $ to put into that you may as well get a coil over set.
