Edit: actually, Luminous was the first to go S3...Crypto's will be the first to go forged guts with a few surprises....

I'll also stay S2 (closer to what you have - ACF bound March-April), then sell a few months later for something "different" .

Making a little less power with bm3 and ps1 but I've never been happier and more reliable.

Plus like you said PTF is coming out with better and more revised maps on a weekly basis! Get BM3 and be done.
i already ordered the jb4

Nothing wrong with that, it's a great start. It'll make plenty of power and bring some great features to the table.

Not at all it's rare honestly. It's just my personal experience. There's things I like about jb4 and there's things I dislike. Jb4 powers some very quick cars so take that for what it's worth.

I reckon it won't be long before the rpi device has an output that can drive a solenoid for TBI or split second controller for PI.

Dzenno will have to chime in but I think they're working on a few things in that department.

Yes I got boost spikes like a sob and the overboost I was seeing on a ps1 turbo was scary and I'm not risking my car. I'm just done with it. Bm3 is blowing things out of the water and wait until custom user settings and user tuning ability comes out. Circa Cobb 2007 for E platform all over again but bigger better faster tech BM3=revolutionized tuning capability for F platform.

I am beta testing PTF's 93 octane full flash on my Pure stage 2 435i with the N20 TMAP and i have had no issues at all.

I'm actually thinking about giving up jb4 completely and going full flash and running a standalone AIC Controller for my Port injection which is also jb4 controlled right now.

I know plenty of S63tu running full flash with n20 tmap and PTF can scale n20 tmap for full flash too.
Pretty sure Luminous on his Enzo Big Turbo

Lol well, I stand corrected. I'm waiting for the new split second to come out and then I'll probably ditch the jb4.

Being im new to bmw i got the jb4 cuz thats what all the fast ones use. All of my previous vehicles were ecu tuned and i prefer it. Going bm3 and custom tuned seems a bit more expensive than jb4.

That tends to happen lol we all started stripping off the jb4 and just going with flash.

Some people still prefer to stack and nothing wrong with that either. It's why bm3 can work in conjunction with jb4.

Jb4 $530, + FF wires $35, + Bluetooth kit $130-140 , JB4 Mobile $30-35
Install Yourself or pay someone ???

BM3 (License/OTS Map) $595 , Unlock ECU $100-300 range (Including Labor), OBD2 to ENet cable $15, BM3 App (Free), Laptop agent (Free), Web version (Free), BM3 Agent ($290) which replaces the need of having a laptop in the car.

I see the BM3 resale value better as well, if only you can see what my car was doing against 500-800lbs lighter cars when I had JB4 and E30 blend vs now Bootmod3 Beta Map on pump you would be like

But it all comes down to your needs, mods, location, and what you planning on doing with the car.

Yep lol, especially people like me who went to the drag-strip this year already about 10x and did 10 dyno pulls testing the JB4 with different fuel, settings, firmwares, and now the BM3 is the home.
