Yup.. I am rocking the AA CP from Mike, and no doubt would have blown my OEM pipe by now as I am 15lbs+ coming off my turbo now.

ECU targets load not PSI ... I have seen boost vary by up to 4 PSI on stock cars depending on the conditions

Yes you are a 100% right Mike, Guess my question was very pre 1980's thinking. Most cars since the 300zxTT(1990) have been doing it this way.

Map sensors have been out since the 86 Supra turbo or the 300zxTT as far as I know. I can only speak for Japanese turbocharged cars. Even some 90s N/A cars have them ala 90's AMG MBs something I recently discovered on my 98 w202 AMG C43/55 conversion.

I think he was talking about swapping out the stock N55 TMAP for the N20 TMAP which can ready pressures up to 3.5bar.

The latest amazing stuff from AA!
So I noticed that my sport gauges were still at the factory 320hp and 320 torque, and with this latest build I could EASILY bury the needle on both without even trying. I started asking around if this was a coding thing or ECU thing, and followed up with AA about it. I got two new ECU builds this morning from the ever amazing Nic of AA. First with the MPPK settings for the sport displays and the second with the M4 settings! MPPK jumps my gauges to 400/400, and the M4 jumps to 480/480! YES! So yeah, the gauge actual results are questionable etc etc, but nice to have them with more headroom now as my build continues to grow and hp grows with it. Now if that big turbo project comes in.. *ponder* But I wanted to let folks know that AA CAN do this, and its a great thing!

I have it disconnected to be fully open all the time, but having the option to close to quiet down the exhaust in certain situations would be nice. Great. Love your stuff.
I am interested to see how AA MHD and bm3 compare. I am interested in power output but to see how each one tackles various settings should be interesting. I feel like OTS maps these days are pretty darn spot on. |

*laugh* No pressure.. I want/need logs, want to run video, you name it. I had something come up that same afternoon that I cannot miss, so I am trying to get a morning dyno slot rather than the afternoon.
side note, with my gauges now at 480/480, I hit it BRIEFLY and quickly coming out of my neighborhood and easily saw the needle hit 370ish.. *grin*
